ABOUT US
We are Merriott Majorettes and have been going for over 9 years,it will be our 10 year anniversary in april 2007.
we have 51 girls in the troupe ranging from age 5-16 and the girls are split up into three age based sections
*TINY TOTS 5-9
*JUNIORS 9-13
*SENIORS 13-UPWARDS
We have 2 trainers and 4 committee members who work very hard to keep the troupe running we also have a tiny tot teacher .
We keep the troupe up and running by fund raising which we rely on the girls,parents and committee to help with by offering their support.
TRAINING
We train every friday night except from good friday and 2 weeks at christmas/new year.we have a training uniform which is a white polo t-shirt with merriott majorettes printed in navy blue on the back and navy blue tracky bottoms this is worn by every girl and is compulsory.
WHAT WE DO
We enter in to competitions and carnivals,we also do displays at fetes,street fairs and schools,during these displays we do baton twirling routines and pom dances.when we go out the meeting uniform is black trousers with the same t-shirt.

This year we have been very lucky to recieve some money from Richard Pippin of Pejay's fish and chips in crewkerne who's name we will be displaying on our new jackets.which have kept us warm through out the winter carnivals .
